Little Boy (2015)

As cute as it looks, yet poignant and more intelligent than you’d think it would be, “Little Boy” follows—guess what—a little boy, short for his age, who tries to cope with the drafting of his father into battle during World War II. Whimsical yet grounded, it’s a story about faith against all odds. The production values are excellent, acting on par, and the kid really carries the movie and tugs at your heart strings. This may be a little too sentimental and old-fashioned for some; for me, it’s genuine, imaginative and refreshing.
