A well-done thriller that’s good when you’re in the mood for a thriller, but not much more than that. A woman crashes on a highway and wakes up imprisoned in a bunker whose caretaker alleges that the end of the world has arrived. The characters behave as you think they would under the circumstances, and John Goodman (always an excellent actor) gives a powerful performance as the enigmatic owner of the bunker. There’s also a great, stand-out scene in the middle of the movie, which will probably be your favorite scene as well. But those few minutes of greatness and cleverness don’t extend to the rest of the movie, which nevertheless is entertaining and suspenseful enough to enjoy.
